Car, truck, and motorcycle accidents
Dog bites and animal attacks
Slip and falls
Other injuries at work, in public places, or at home
Life After the Accident
An accident can be over in seconds, but the effects often aren't. Maybe it was a car crash, a dog bite, or a bad fall. Weeks later you may still flinch at a braking car, tense up when a dog comes near, or watch every step on a wet floor. You might lie awake replaying what happened. Many people are surprised by this. The injuries are healing, so why don't they feel like themselves?

What People Often Notice
Fear or panic in situations that remind them of the accident - driving, being around dogs, walking in certain places
Flashbacks, nightmares, or replaying what happened
Trouble sleeping
Irritability, low mood, or losing interest in things
Feeling on edge or easily startled
Pain that makes it hard to work, parent, or do what you used to
Worry about the future, money, or getting back to normal

How I Help
As a licensed clinical social worker, I help people after accidents understand what they are going through and get their daily life back. We use evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-focused therapy to lower anxiety, improve sleep, and rebuild confidence, at your pace. Sessions are online, so you can start from home anywhere in Maryland, Texas or Virginia. That matters when getting to an appointment is part of what feels hard.
Getting Started: Reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation. We'll talk about what you're going through and match you with the right therapist.
If you were referred by your attorney, let us know and we'll coordinate with their office.
